Everything You Need to Know About Lab Grown Diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds share the same physical, chemical and optical characteristics as natural diamonds. But, the process needed to create them is different from nature.
The process starts with a tiny piece of lab-grown diamond that acts like a seed. In a plasma reactor that’s heated to over 6000 degrees Fahrenheit. Over 400 hours or more the tiny piece grows to a rough crystal big enough to cut into a polished Gem.
Lab Grown diamonds are available in all popular shapes and sizes. Qualities vary just like natural diamonds, and the price is up to 40% less than a comparable natural one. They usually are accompanied by a grading report issued by an independent gemological laboratory, and are laser inscribed with “Laboratory Grown” visible only under magnification.
